Ms. Natasha L. Rogers is a proven results-driven leader. The solopreneur, educator, and public relations consultant is the founder and owner of twelve21, a public relations boutique established in Birmingham, Alabama, and serves as a communications instructor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Before these engagements, Natasha successfully launched and served as the executive director of the Negro Southern League Museum, where under her tenure, the museum won Best Museum by Birmingham Magazine. Preceding that appointment through the City of Birmingham Mayor’s Office, Natasha completed a parallel task with Railroad Park Foundation, serving as director of events, creating and implementing one of the park’s most successful and longest-running programs, Get Healthy on the Railroad.
Ms. Rogers’ natural abilities and skills sharpened during her broadcast journalism career. She began with two network internships with CNN Newsource Sales in Atlanta, Georgia, and NBC in New York, New York, where she served as an NBC Page. Later, she secured multiple roles in newsrooms throughout the Southeast, from associate producer to general assignment reporter to assignment editor. The Selma, Alabama native increased her understanding of communication by earning a Master of Arts in Communication Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Natasha finished Summa Cum Laude and became a member of the Phi Kappa Honor Society. When Natasha is not guiding her clients or students, she is an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Birmingham and serves on the Members Council for Leadership Birmingham. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Before, Ms. Rogers served on the Board of Directors for the Alabama Public Relations Society of America as treasurer and the Penny Foundation. She also served on the Leadership Council for the Boys and Girls Club of Central Alabama and was a member of The Women’s Network. Ms. Rogers’ efforts and service have gotten noticed. Natasha was named Power 50 by Birmingham Magazine, Top 40 Under 40 by the Birmingham Business Journal, and Top 50 Under 50 by Miles College. In addition, Who’s Who in Black Alabama featured Natasha as an Outstanding Young Professional. She received the Wonderful Outstanding Woman Award from the Metro National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). The Girl Scouts of North Central Alabama also recognized Natasha as a role model. When Natasha is not pursuing her professional or philanthropic endeavors, she actively seeks minor roles on the movie screen locally and regionally.
